In 2002 Duncan Hill of Bozeman, Montana founded Uganda Orphans Fund (UOF) dedicating himself to rescue, care for, and shelter Uganda's orphans. At present 2 million orphans are languishing in Uganda because their parents have died of Aids/HIV or were killed by the LRA rebel army in Northern Uganda over the last 23 years of war and terror. Over the next ten years the number of orphans in Uganda alone could reach 8 to 10 million. this is a conservative estimate.
Uganda Orphans fund has built over 25 orphans homes since its inception partnering with other organizations on some projects.
